Hi!

I am Suzie Leiber, a self-taught Artist and Native Texan, based in Fort Worth, Texas.  My paintings are mainly inspired by my love of light (and shadow), color and reflection.  I love to bring the viewer's eye to the colorplay in the shadows; the reflections off water, glass, fabric, plants and animals; and the golden hour glow on architecture, rugged landscapes and beautiful vinyards. Anytime I can include cultural insight and beauty, I'm all in! I love to paint in Oils on Canvas, Watercolor on Paper, Charcoal, and Pen & Ink. My favorite subjects are depictions of cultural heritage and traditions, Southwestern scenes and landscapes, Retro Americana signage and barns, and the Natural World in a nutshell.  I consider myself a colorist and spend considerable time learning all I can about painting it.  I am drawn to using color in unexpected ways, using high contrast when I can capture the right light and I am very inspired by travel.
